Colorado is one of the most beautiful and independent-minded places on Earth — but too many families are struggling right now. Housing is out of control. Mental health care is hard to access. Communities feel more divided and isolated. Politics has become more about party power than real solutions.

I’m Jon Collamer, an Independent candidate for Governor of Colorado (2026), and I’m running to bring Colorado back to strength through common sense leadership, compassion, and real results.

This campaign is about rebuilding the human spirit — and restoring what makes Colorado great: resilient communities, honest work, creativity, and people who care about one another.

SECTION 1 — WHY I’M RUNNING

I’m running Independent because Colorado needs a Governor who answers to the people — not party insiders, not corporate donors, and not political machines.

The best solutions don’t belong to Democrats or Republicans — they belong to the citizens of Colorado.

Colorado deserves leadership that:

• Listens to the truth on the ground

• Delivers real solutions that improve everyday life

SECTION 2 — THE PLAN

Three Pillars for a Stronger Colorado

My platform focuses on three urgent priorities:
Mental Wellness • Affordable Housing • Energy Independence
If we fix these three areas, we improve nearly everything else.

PILLAR 1 — MENTAL WELLNESS FIRST

We will make Colorado the #1 state in the nation for mental wellness by expanding access to 24/7 care and building modern crisis and wellness centers across the state.

This includes:

• Faster crisis response and de-escalation support

• Trauma recovery and prevention education

• Youth and family programs that strengthen communities

• Support for first responders and veterans

When mental wellness improves, everything improves: safety rises, addiction drops, productivity returns, and families get stronger.

PILLAR 2 — AFFORDABLE HOUSING THAT WORKS

Colorado must take bold action so working people can actually live here again.

We will pursue solutions that increase supply and reduce pressure:

• Workforce housing expansion

• Adaptive reuse of existing buildings

• Partnerships and incentives that scale

• Smarter approvals (protect communities without blocking progress)

Housing should not feel impossible. It should be a foundation for stability, dignity, and opportunity.

PILLAR 3 — ENERGY INDEPENDENCE & ECONOMIC REJUVENATION

Colorado can lead the nation by investing in:

• Geothermal expansion

• Energy storage and grid resilience

• Local production and innovation

• High-quality job creation

Energy independence means long-term stability for families and businesses — and a stronger Colorado economy that works for everyday people.

SECTION 3 — A PEOPLE-POWERED MOVEMENT

This is a people-powered campaign — and we will win by building a movement rooted in truth, unity, and courage.

To run Independent, we must secure ballot access by gathering signatures across all eight districts — and we are aiming high to build an unstoppable foundation.

This campaign is about citizens rising together and choosing leadership that heals, unites, and delivers real results.
