Common Sense Solutions to Colorado’s Critical Challenges
Common Sense Solutions to Colorado’s Critical Challenges
Jon comes from a patriotic American lineage shaped by public service and the belief that freedom requires responsibility.
His family history includes early American roots connected to the Revolutionary War era, including an ancestor tied to the 1777 Battle of Saratoga — a major turning point in America’s fight for independence that helped shift the course of the war.
Jon is also descended from Jacob Collamer, a respected Vermont statesman remembered for principled leadership and a deep dedication to the rule of law. Collamer served as a Justice of the Vermont Supreme Court, a U.S. Senator, and Postmaster General under President Zachary Taylor (12th President of the United States). He was widely admired for his integrity and careful judgment, earning the nickname “The Green Mountain Socrates.”
That tradition of public service and integrity is a major reason Jon believes in clean government, transparency, and leadership that puts citizens first. Colorado deserves leaders who serve — not rulers who control.
Today, Jon Collamer carries that same tradition of service into Colorado — not as a career politician, but as a citizen committed to helping people and strengthening communities.
Jon has spent years working directly with real-world challenges facing everyday Coloradans: the rising cost of housing, lack of access to mental health support, isolation, and systems that feel confusing, broken, or out of reach. His work and life experience have taught him that real leadership isn’t about power — it’s about presence, responsibility, and showing up when people need help.
That is why Jon often speaks of his connection to Jacob Collamer — and why the image of Jon serving the people of Colorado beneath a statue of Jacob Collamer matters. It represents something bigger than politics: a reminder that public service is a responsibility, not a privilege, and that leadership must be rooted in integrity, courage, and love of country.
Jon’s mission is simple: serve the people, clean up government, and rebuild Colorado with common sense, transparency, and results.
Colorado is one of the most independent-minded states in America — yet too many families are falling behind.
Housing is unaffordable.
Mental health care ranks last.
Energy costs keep rising.
Taxpayer dollars disappear into systems that don’t deliver results.
Politics has become about party power instead of performance.
Colorado doesn’t need more promises. It needs measurable outcomes.
I’m Jon Collamer, running Independent for Governor to put people over politics and deliver real results.
That means clear priorities, transparent budgets, and accountability at every level.
No party machines.
No insider deals.
Just leadership that works.
Healthy People. Affordable Living. Energy Freedom.
A results-driven plan to restore opportunity, strengthen communities, and build a Colorado that works for everyone.
